Sharia and Society (SAS) is an open-access academic journal focusing on Islamic law, sharia studies, and Muslim society. The journal publishes scholarly articles on Islamic legal thought, maqashid sharia, Islamic family law, Islamic economics, siyasah syar’iyyah, religious moderation, and contemporary socio-religious issues.

The journal is published by Yayasan Amal in collaboration with STAI Solok Nan Indah, Indonesia. Sharia and Society aims to become an academic forum for researchers, lecturers, practitioners, and students in developing Islamic studies and responding to contemporary social changes.
