Author Guidelines
SAS welcomes original research articles, conceptual papers, literature reviews, and critical studies within its focus and scope. Manuscripts must not be published or under consideration elsewhere.
Language and Length
Use clear academic English or Indonesian. Manuscripts should be 5,000–8,000 words, including references. Provide a 150–250-word abstract describing the purpose, approach, main findings, and contribution, followed by 3–5 keywords.
Manuscript Structure
- Title; separate author details with affiliations and email addresses.
- Abstract and keywords.
- Introduction: research problem, relevant scholarship, and contribution.
- Research method or analytical approach: sources, research setting, and limitations.
- Results and discussion: a supported analysis connected to sharia studies and Muslim society.
- Conclusion and references.
Sources and References
Use APA 7th Edition consistently. Identify legislation, fatwas, judicial decisions, and classical texts precisely; distinguish primary sources from scholarly interpretation. Explain transliteration and translations where needed. Verify quotations and references, and include DOI links when available.
Files for Double-Blind Review
Provide an editable manuscript without author names, identifying acknowledgements, or identifying document metadata. Supply author names, affiliations, ORCID identifiers if available, and contact information in OJS and a separate title page. Number tables and figures, explain abbreviations, and acknowledge their sources.
Research Integrity
Disclose funding and competing interests. For interviews, observation, surveys, or sensitive family and community research, describe consent, confidentiality, and applicable ethics review. Report substantive AI assistance transparently; authors remain responsible for all claims, references, and analysis.
Submission and Revision
Submit through OJS. Revisions should include a point-by-point response to the editor and reviewers. Consult the plagiarism policy and publication ethics before submission.
